This test was conducted a controlled environment, using machined test pods, Each of the test pods were machined to the nominal ID of that specific casing. Each of the cups were properly centralized in the test equipment and used the proper matching thimble for backup and support. A proper, snug fit of the thimble was critical in providing the optimum performance of each cup. The actual performance of the cup may or may vary in downhole applications due to the wide variety of conditions and the many different uses packer cups are given to perform.
