Rekursschrift

German to English Law/Patents Medical: Health Care
Hi all,

I'm translating a proposal for an ethics committee and am stumped by the following:

Die Rekursschrift muss einen Antrag und dessen Begründung enthalten.

I'm assuming it's do with their right to appeal a decision. Any ideas?

Yes, it probably means appeal, but what does it say before and after this?

notice of appeal

Your notice of appeal must include the petition /application and the grounds for your appeal.

Rekurs= appeal
"Schrift", here= document, i.e. "notice"

agree Brent Sørensen : I’ve found “letter of appeal” used as a translation. Same difference.

Right, that's also an option! "Schrift" is often used in CH/AUT legal lingo
