One week after diabetes induction, treatment was initiated with rosuvastatin (10 mg/kg per day) or vehicle for 5 weeks.
Rosuvastatin treatment resulted in an abrogation of calcium homeostasis changes including shortening of intracellular Ca²⁺ transients and ameliorated the electrical and functional remodeling of the heart.
