Perform the following steps in succession.
Shake the canister for 5 to 10 seconds.
Breathe out fully through the mouth and expel as much air from the lungs as possible.
Tilt your head back slightly, place the mouthpiece into your mouth and close your lips around it.
To allow the medication to enter the lungs, keep your tongue flat on the floor of your mouth.
While breathing in deeply, slowly press down on the center of the dose indicator, with your finger.
To deliver the dose, fully depress the canister until it stops moving in the actuator.
Hold your breath as long as possible, up to 10 seconds and then breathe normally.
