The heading of an ADA's report reads:
"Averiguacion Previa (número), Agencia (número) de Hechos de Sangre Dolosos".
There are several of these agencies in the state of Jalisco, Mexico (Agencia 4 Responsabilidades Médicas, Agencia 16 Sumaria de Choques, etc.) which are areas that come under the state's Attorney General's Office.
For this one I though about translating it along the lines of "crime scene blood unit". I can't think of or find a familiar name for this in the U.S., or maybe it don't exist as such. I would welcome any thoughts.

| Thank you all for your efforts. I have to agree with Jaimeargn, it should contain the word blood in it, as there are several other agencies/units in the Jalisco Attorney General's Office that deal with violent crimes, e.g. Agencia de Violencia Intrafamiliar, Agencia Género, Agencia Robo a Personas, Agencia Robo a Negocios, all of which I think might include violence. I ended up opting for "Bloody Crimes Unit", not the most elegant of terms, then again nobody could argue that "Agencia de Hechos de Sangre Dolosos" is either. The sad note here is that there is a lot of really terrible crimes going on in certain areas of the country that need investigating, and I suppose they require a large amount of agencies to do that. |

Hierarchy in the UK: 1. ABH - actual bodily harm 2. GBH - grievous bodily harm 3. wounding with/out intent - breaking of the skin or, usually, drawing of blood.

Good point. But wounding might be preferable to 'those bloody crimes'.
