When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

: It's not about being proprietor, but being a self-employed worker running a very small business. The MEI model in Brazil only allows one proprietor, and he/she has to be the person rendering the services as well. Taxes are simplified/exempt etc.

Yes, translators are fighting to be included as a category, even though some of them already use MEI. But that's exactly right, MEI applies to independent contractors: language teachers, personal trainers, carers, instructors etc.
