I am a UK-based, English mother-tongue translator from French and Spanish into English, and translation proofreader.
Over the past 20 years I have worked in the UK and across Europe to develop a range of professional and linguistic skills, within the commercial and not-for-profit sectors; I have been a translator for the last nine years.
What do I translate?
• Specialised texts in international development, housing & homelessness issues, management & leadership, travel & tourism, politics and current affairs,
• General texts in almost any field,
• Creative and literary texts from French.

• in the tourist industry, across different overseas roles for a major UK tour operator,
• of literary and creative translation,
• of continuous professional development through short courses, events and lectures.
How much will it cost?
As standard, I charge a per word rate for translations and the majority of proofreading assignments. But, translations vary in complexity and urgency, so I offer differentiated rates, as appropriate to each specific job. For example, the rate for a general translation with a flexible deadline will be lower than the rate for a technically demanding translation with an urgent deadline.
Please be aware than I charge a minimum fee of £30 for ad hoc small jobs.
